Old Barney is the nickname of the lighthouse at Barnegat Light, NJ. All comments appreciated, thanks.

Canon Powershot S90 was probably not the ideal tool of the trade, but it's what I was carrying at the time to supplement the 500mm f/4. I've already cropped a bit off the bottom and right to emphasize the lighthouse. Keep in mind that f/8 is the smallest aperture on this camera. Slight contrast increase and noise reduction in PS as well.

ISO 80, 1/250s, f/8, -2 EC

Hi Dave, the powershot seems to have done the job since the image appears sharp. The sun's rays add a nice element to the image and just enough silhouette on the bottom.
I like the offset placement of the lighthouse but would crop off the small bush on the far left.
I would suggest that you make your name smaller in the image due to it being very distracting...

I liked the composition a lot. Wondering if it would look better if the lighthouse were to be made completely dark.

At first I thought it was a big crop, then I read that you used a P&S camera, overall I like it. Makes me wonder why I leave my own small camera at home most of the time. I really wouldn't change anything, the slight softness I see is helped by the overall tone and warmth. Nice job.

Hey Dave,
Sorry....late to the party as I am still in the Tetons but now I have internet! I'm with Kaustubh on making "Barney" a total silhouette! IMO would make the image even stronger. If you had your other camera....f22 would have made the sunburst even stronger. I think you did very well with the P&S!
