Taken in Yellowstone NP using the digital Rebel and the Sigma 300-800mm lens set at 652mm. ISO 400 at f10 and 1/800 sec. A little canvas added to bottom and vert crop from horizontal original to make more of a portrait.

I really like this Roman.... my first impressions was that it needed a bit more space..but i think the proportions draws the viewers eyes in....is it my imagination or did you o some cloning on rhs of bison face.....just curious?

well done ...

Roman,

I think the composition works very well here. Looks great.

A beautiful bison image! The nice soft lighting allows us to see all of the detail in the bison's coat. The surroundings are nice as well. The added canvas reveals itself just a bit. Overall, a good image!

I like this one a lot, Roman. The light, sharpness, pose, and tight crop all work very well here. Since you brought our attention to it, I can see where you added canvas on the bottom as the stem patterns don't quite match up. Some touching up in PS could fix this.

Nice pose, BG, and comp. Great job on detail in the dark fur. I think it could use a slight tweak in levels/curves to give it a bit more pop. Added canvas area looks a little "patched".

It's no wonder the native Indians loved these creatures. Nice use of the contrasting color palette available to you.
