Created in Cape Coral, during Artie's Post X-mas IPT, being bait for the Red Ants, that made sure I left with some souvenirs (I men on the ground)

D300, 200-400/4 plus 1.7X
f/7.1, 1/800, ISO 1000
Since the light was warm, no noise reduction was required.

Beautifully photographed. I liked the raised foot...and although subtle I like the grains of sand glued to the grasses.

It doesn't get better Fabs. The complimentary hues of background and vegetation are soothing to the eye and speaking of eyes, the slightly angled head position creates a more natural and relaxed feeling versus a head -on stare. Sharpness is a very subjective thing so not usually relevant to critique . . but I would seem to like a wee bit more sharpening on the chest.

The Fab,

The details, exposure and composition works very well. The BG is also very nice.

I love the low light colouring o fthis shot nad the raised foot. The background fades into nothingness.

Really a nice image. The blade of grass running up the leg is my only nit, and I'm reaching here because it really is a great image. Was this taken during the morning fog we've had after Christmas? I know we've had two or three weeks of it here in the mornings, and it looks like you really played it to your advantage, and made a wonderful BG out of it!

This is just perfect by the light, the lifted leg and the colors.

Thanks, Jeff!!

I'm trying to get away from over-sharpened images and it is my feeling that having the eyes sharp, it's what the image is about. So only 0.2 sharpening was applied.
Of course, as you said, it is very subjective :)

I love the pose and raised foot. The only thing that bugs me is that I know it is a house in the background, but it provides some very complimentary color... and I know how you like that!
