This has been an amazing week of creativity and fun. There were total of thirty one images not including the ones Denise and Kerry showcased. This obviously made my task harder and I took the liberty of selecting few additional images as each of these images showcased vision, technique and more over this week's theme. Here are my choices -
First place - Steve Adkins for "Pollen Pool (http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php?72110-Pollen-Pool)". A fun image and totally OOTB with excellent processing and technique. Congratulations Steve.
Joint Second place -
Jim Bridges for "Blue Damselfly (http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php?72190-Blue-Damselfly)". Outstanding macro and use of naturally occurring color as part of the theme.
Connie Mier for "Blue Portuguese man-o-war (http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php?72393-Blue-Portuguese-man-o-war)". Excellent out-of-the-camera composition that is visually pleasing with natural colors.
Third place - Mital Patel for "Blue Flame (http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php?72395-Blue-Flame)". Aesthetically beautiful and as graceful as the bird itself, Mital's artistic vision certainly stands out here.
Fourth place - Michael Gerald-Yamasaki for "Half Dome in Blue (http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php?72325-Half-Dome-in-Blue)". Beautiful silhouette of Half Dome that stands against the starry sky. Another excellent use of nature for this week's theme!
Fifth place - Ken Childs for "The rare Indigo Cardinal (http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php?72104-The-rare-Indigo-Cardinal)". The new species certainly rocked the OOTB forum! Excellent technique.
Congratulations to the winners and all the participants for some outstanding images that did not get mentioned here today. Also, thanks to Denise and Kerry for their support and feedback on all the images.
