Today we had 15 to 20 mile an hour winds and a sunny sky. Went down with my son to Ocean Drive in Newport, Rhode Island, and we photographed the gulls in-flight, since the wind was causing them hang and hold in the air. This laughing gull has only one leg and so far has survived.
Taken with Nikon D3S, Sigma 50 to 500 lens at 210 mm, F8, 1/1000 sec., ISO 400.
Slight crop in Photoshop, shadow adjustment, linear contrast.

Hi Myer. The pano crop works nicely here. The light was pretty challenging. You got decent underwing detail, but at the expense of some fairly hot whites up top. I might back off on the sharpening just a little.

Myer, Doug covered the critique nicely. I like the pose and think you captured it well.
