Made this image during a hike in the nearby mountains of Swiss Alps. This image was made after dusk from 3 exposures (ISO3200 for the sky, and couple of lower ISOs for the rest).

Intentionally kept the image dark to give it a night mood/feel. Image best viewed in a dark room !
Unfortunately the smaller web presentation makes it too dark. Please view the larger file by clicking here (http://www.pbase.com/bkaushik/image/128513913/original).

Techs:
Nikon D300, Nikkor 12-24mm, tripod.
Blends from:
f/4, 10s, ISO3200
f/5.6, 81s, ISO400
f/16, 16 minutes, ISO200

All suggestions to improve are most welcome.

Good idea executed well Kaushik. Thanks for the link to the larger, makes all the difference.

Composition well done. Strong "V" shapes frame the top and bottom of the image with the sky and its reflection.

Hi Kaushik, The link was important to view the image properly. With a white border around it the image becomes very dark.
This is compositionally well handled and the addition of the stars adds alot to the interest. Good job on the techs!

When I first looked at it, I was underwhelmed, but the larger image is much much better

Hey Kaushik,
For my tastes.....even on the larger image I would prefer it a touch brighter.....but the comp is fantastic and very well executed!

I agree with Roman. It's a fantastic image but a touch more light to bring out the detail would be nice. The larger image on black does look much better.
