This image of a Sally Lightfoot Crab feeding on green algae was taken at Gardner Bay in the Galapagos Islands. In retrospect, probably should have gone to f/8. Any and all C & C welcome!

Love the soft light and the sweet BKRG with green and grey. A bit more d-o-f would have helped at bit. Nice soft light and sharp focus on the eyes.

Agreed. soft light makes this one a winner. Your self critique on the DOF is right on as well. Thanks for posting.

Awesome colours! Although more DOF would have helped, I think it works very well as presented...just like for a bird image, what needs to be sharp is.

So many Sally Lightfoot images are against the Galapagos black volcanic rock so this is a very nice difference. I really like the contrast of the green with the reds and yellows; great sharpness and beautiful bg. I keep thinking it's a little tight.

I love it, I find the DOF great as it has the focus on the important parts and fade away beautifully . The colors are magic

This is one of the best, if not the best Sally that I have seen IMHO! I think the the DOF has selectively focused the views attention to just the right places! The soft light, sharpness and BG are super! I do wish that the little brown thing in front of the crab was gone though!
