Perhaps of interest for some here. Hopefully we'll see some cool pictures of unusual birds soon. JR

Hi,
Hurricane Earl did indeed bring a bonanza of unusual birds to Nova Scotia, some of which are still around - particularly Black Skimmers and Laughing Gulls. There were also Royal, Caspian, Forster's and a Bridled Tern, a Brown Pelican and a Snowy Plover. Also (although probably not Earl-related) a Calliope Hummingbird. I was over in England, so I missed most of this, but many people took excellent photos.
