Hey Alan, Who could ever get tired of looking at a Tufted Puffin? Your image is fantastic as usual. The Pribilofs served you well:)

Excellent. Flight position unique, technically very well done, especially the detail in dark plummage. regards~Bill

Hi Alan,

I do not see how anyone could get tired of images like this. I love how the angle of flight introduces a diagonal to the image. I especially like how we can see the feet peaking out from behind the tail. The prey in the beak adds interest and is a big plus. I find the image to be well exposed with nice detail. All of that with a pleasing background. Well done and thanks for sharing.

Alan, always enjoy looking at your images.
One question, wouldn't the 16x20 crop work better in this image, giving it more room on the bottom as the bird was diving?

That is just a super cool bird! Everything is spot on as usual. I was thinking the same thing Troy commented about with having more room toward the bottom. I liked it like this either way.

Wow Alan - just an outstanding shot. I love how it looks like the puffin is looking directly at you. About the only thing I might want different is the fish --> I was initially puzzled as to what the puffin had in his mouth - in a perfect world it would have been nice to see a head or a tail just so that it was obvious.

Hey Troy, you could be right, but it's all a matter of taste. I keep the 3:2 ratio for consistency on my website.

The diving pose and shooting angle makes this for me. One mighty fine image Alan.
