Hi David Fully agree with Manos !!!! Would suggest trying to get some detail in the white areas Duplicate layer, multiply then reduce opacity Can do more than once if needed Would also clean up the little white specs over duck !!!! I like it a lot Beautiful image !!!

...........btw have been looking at it some more and a vertical composition would not look bad at all !!!!!

beautiful bird, david. i think the light is a little harsh causing the whites to be blown.

very nice, agree with vertical suggestion.
A few strange shadow/highlights going on, but so worthy of continuing to work on it.
Starting over from orig of course.

beautiful pose, love the big eye

Getting whites to show in a Harley is next to impossible. No image I have seen has any. Ask Jeff Nadler, his site has some very good images as well. I have photographed them for years too. Here in Maine 100 feet is considered close. The Barnegat Light NJ is the best place on the NE coast to get some close ups of these elusive and nervous ducks. And this is the best, by far detailed image of one i have ever seen. If you have never tried to photograph one, then do so and you you will know how hard it is. The shot you usually get is of the back end swimming away from you, and high speed at that. David did very well here.
