Hey Jay,
Cool concept....but I need the center to be a bit sharper....looks like focus was slightly behind and right. I do think eliminating the lighter area in the LR will also help.....but revisit this one if you can and try to get the focus on the yellow......and your concept should turn out very nicely!

Roman,

Yes, I agree. I've been planning on another shoot.

Thanks................Jay

Not much to say. Roman has it all figured out and you know he's right. :)

I'm looking forward to your next attempt because this has the makings of a great shot!

These shallow DOF shots aren't as easy as they look. ;)

My knees were screaming at me at that point, maybe another stop lower would do it, and of course, better aim!

Hi Jay, very nice composition and angle, the flower almost seems to swirl! Too bad about the focus. This looks like a pink/purple variety of a Forget-me-not (Myosotis species).

The diagonal and unusual point of view make this look like an alien, until I look closer. Looks like the focus was on the back part of the yellow center. Great colors. Do try again!

I, too, try to take multiple exposures using different f stops and focus points. When I don't, I wonder what happened?! :)
