Were you in the water to get that nice low angle? Like the pano crop Kaustubh. I would sharpen the head a little more and remove the dark area around the front of the bill.

It looks sharp to me, but agree about the dark patch behind the bill. Love the low angle and attentive pose. TFS

I was on the bank at the edge of the water. I took some at eye-level also...but liked this lower angle better. This was a very cooperative bird and I was able to spend time and explore different angles. I had posted one earlier that has the bird more parallel and cleaner BG.

Kaustubh, Very nice low angle as mentioned. Excellent sharp details and agree w/ others regarding the dark spot. Very nicely framed.

Love this! Lighting, exposure, background, the bird, it's perch, all works for me.

Hey Kaustubh, thanks for getting the ball rolling in this month's project:cool:. As already mentioned you have yourself a very impressive low angle. Dark spot has already been mentioned. WTG!
