Nice bird. Image quality (SH, feather detail) is suspect at best. Was this a large crop? Please check out the head angle resources by clicking on the word here (http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php?70867-Easy-as-Pie-Head-Angle-Quiz).

The biggest issue here is the HA, the link Artie refers to is a good one for you to read - and be sure the read the links found within that one too. I also find the leaf behind the subject distracting. On the plus side I really like how the leaves in UL are anchored beautifully in that corner.

Nice job getting close to the bird, aside from the head angle, there is a magenta cast to the bird. I would use the eyedrop tool in Camera Raw to fix that with a neutral gray.

YAW. Thanks for having an open attitude. Once folks are aware of better Head Angles it becomes easier to press the shutter button at the right time.
