I try "pishing" to get them look my way. When that doesn't work I start blowing them kisses, clicking, squeaking or anything that I can think of to get their attention. It sure looks like you didn't have any significant light when this was taken. I think that you're ready to try some flash. In the meantime I think there's some potential in this image that just needs to be tweaked. It could go lighter and a little sharper. I've played with it a little.....see what you think.

nice image Bill and super re-work Lana....may need a bit of canvas added on right to "look" into.

I have birds often listen to the AF beeper

Thanks Lana and Dave. I think it looks much better and I will try all the suggestions mentioned. I have tried clucking, whistling, squealing and sometimes they look but not always.
