On a recent trip to the Atlantic Rainforest in Brazil - this tiny hummer appeared for less than 30 seconds before being chased away by the local bullies. We heard her distinct "wingwhir" before we saw her, and I was lucky enough to get 2 or 3 decent images before she disappeared. Taken in natural light,

Excellant! Nice background. Sharp where you need it, without overdoing.

Beautiful bird; beautiful shot. Nicely sharp with lovely background. Well done for naturally lit hummer. At bit tight in the frame for my taste.

Real nice. Excellent combo of sharp and blur. A little more room in front of the bird will definitely make it better. Pity that the head is turned slightly away. One round of noise reduction on BG will also help.

Hi George, Nice bird, I am fine with the wing blur. The whites on the neck look very bright; how do they look on your optimized file? Yes to too tight, and a big yes to a poor head angle. Please see the various threads in the ER. The head and body are sharp with good detail.

Very nice details here George adn I like the wing blurr too. You didn't indicate whether or not this was posted at full frame. If not I would try to re-compose it to give the bird more space to "fly" into.

You did well to capture this in only a 30 second period of time.

Nice shot, would like to see a bit more room on the left.
