50D, 300 F4L IS, + Kenko 1.4, 500 ISO, 1/800, F5.6, Handheld. Overcast morning. Curious what members think of the frontal shot and the vertical crop. This pose reminds me of a ballerina.

Art, I like the pose and it does look like a ballerina. I also like the vertical. The strip of green at the top is a nice touch.

I like the frontal view and the curious look with the cocked head. Even though the far shoreline looks relatively level I do believe that this one would benefit from some CCW rotation. Where was the image created? BTW, this is a moderately worn juvenile.

Thanks Artie, I tried to concentrate the horizontal levelling on the water line in front of the bird or right where the bird is standing. The image was taken at a small river about 50 KM east of Ottawa, Canada.

YAW. Leveling this one is very tricky depending on where you look. But it does look as if the bird is gonna fall over as presented :)
