Over the holidays, I took some time to stroll the beach in Reddington Beach, FL just to see what I could find. I came across several Juvenile Brown Pelicans sitting on the beach. With quite a bit of patience, I crawled up to several of them and waited to see what would happen. One of them stood up, and started to preen itself, all the while just ignoring me. Here is the result:

Interesting. I like that the bird has one tiny feather in its bill.

Congrats on seeing this shot Robert. I don't think I would have found it, and the results show it was worth looking for.

Great job thinking out of the box, Robert! I would prefer the tip of his beak just a little higher in the frame by adding (if this was cropped) more of the picture, below.
