Hi Ivan,

The bird is spectaular. I love the colors and the head angle. You did well with the exposure. I think the upper portion of the image is a bit cluttered and distracting, particularly the oof clump in the upper right corner. Perhaps a tighter crop (if you have room) and a little cloning to remove some of the distractions would improve the image. Did you shoot this as a verticle? How much of a crop is this, if cropped? Did you use a tripod?

Ivan,

Agree with Jim. Bird is amazing, but its lost in the clutter around. Would be nice cropped or it would have been great if you had a 800F5.6 with you at the time. :D

If you do crop the image later, darken the branch a little to help balance the tones.

Robert

Thanks for your comments.
Yes I shoot it as verticle. No, it's not cropped. No, I didn't use tripod. :)

Robert I guess we all had thoose times when we need a 800mm. ;)

Lovely bird, pose, exposure, and sharpness. Agree that its a little cluttered. I would lose the smudge in the lower left

Ivan, A spectacular bird with a perfect light angle. What you really needed was me standing next to you with the 800 and a 1.4X TC on a tripod!
