Hi Troy - Great background and HA. Exposure looks good too. In a perfect world the shadows wouldn't fall on its face, but I'd probably leave it as is.

Dave with the way the road is where I shoot, sun is always at an angle. Hard to get it straight on. I have been after this type of shot of this bird for months and finally got one. Agree on the shadow but I was lucky it didn't cover the face completely.

As with most wildlife they don't always cooperate. I think this image works as is and I love the flared out wings and the concentration on it's face sticking the landing. I think the shadow of the wing helps isolate the eye drawing you to it.
