This small pollen-covered bee was foraging on a daisy flower. I like the way the background appears to be a vast field of yellow flowers. 40D, MP-E 65 mm, 1/250, f/16, ISO 100, macro twin flash (diffused), hand held. All comments are welcome and appreciated.

I'm detecting a yellow cast to this image Steve. Only joking!!! I love the colour! I like the position of the bee with the BG fading away, out of focus. Your f16 got almost the whole bee, and the most important parts in focus. Ah I just noticed you have the 65mm MP-E. What a lens!

This is an awesome image. Excellent sharpness and details. Love the way you've captured the details in the hairs and the pollen sticking to its legs.

Well caught and super detail, I appreciate it will be very tricky to compose using this lens but if it were possible I would try to get a slightly more lateral view and from a lower angle - much easier said than done.

this is very nice Steve...great details and I love that the environment is all pollen :)

Hey Steve,
Yeah.....I generally prefer tighter view comps.......but this works so well due to the sharpness of the bee and how the DOF falloff does make it appear to be a field of flowers! Pollen on leg just takes this up even more IMO......very nicely done!!!!!

Steve, there really isn't anything I can add to what's already been said so I'll just say this is really cool.

Lovely image Steve.

I particularly like the bg fading away with fg nice and sharp.
