Stuart,

I like the loose framing and layers in the grass. I would crop some off the top to eliminate the blue/dark green patch upper right (or clone out). Also try the technique I mentioned in my first bear post, select the eyes and run a curves adjustment on them to lighten them - I will also selectively sharpen them as well using the same selection.

Stiart,

I am a total novice when it comes to bears, and clearly there is a lot of colour variation. The repost is much better, have you the IQ to go for a closer crop?

The crop from the top is much better. The greens (and yellows) look a bit too saturated from here. Love the mouthful of grass.

The new crop really works. Would love to see a tad more room on the left if you have the room. His rump seems a little close to the edge. Colors look good to me. I can only imagine what this image would have looked like had the flowers been blooming. Like the ruffled fur and the grass in the mouth too!
