About half the size of a humming bird. Never heard of this insect before.

ISO 1600
1/1600 sec @ f5.6

This fella never flew above the low ground cover and flora so getting a clean BG was not in the cards. Thought you might enjoy this new bug!

This is no work of art, I just did quick PP to post. :)

What you have here is a White-lined Sphinx Moth.

Hey Jay,
Very cool indeed. Yeah....the macro HAP is present.....but given the cool new species and the VG wing blur.....I'm debating a pass for the HAP! For effort and degree of difficulty.....you get high marks so thanks for sharing this new one for me!

Nice angle and detail. Like the patterns on the moth.
