Thought the AF did a OK job here - flying at you seems to be more difficult for the AF.
Sharpened and Cropped some from the top and bottom.

Very nice shot Lance.
Head on with a slight head turn and eye contact seems right on to me.
I like the nice soft banding in bg.

Lance, very nice shot. Out of curiosity, what kind of AF settings are you using? AF-C? How abut all the setting in AF inside the menu?
Just wonder if we have the same settings.

No - its the hard to photograph in anything but soft light OC :)
