Very sharp and clear image, great BGD. I do think it could be brighter to see more details in the whites.

Rick:

I think this is very nice, simple, clean, attractive bird.
I absolutely however agree with Herb about the whites. I would use the white point dropper in curves on the brightest white you have, to reset the white point.

Perhaps a sliver more room on the left.

This image has very nice 'bones' just a minor tweak or two to put it over the top!

Beautiful pose, sharpness, perch and background. Lovely image. Ditto Herb and Randy's comments about white point, and tad of room at the left. Am I seeing a bit of blue cast?

Tack sharp Rick, with good detail. I like the pose and HA, and the colours on the rock adds interest. Another vote for bringing out the whites.

My vote for brighter as well. Love the comp. and perch. A few tweeks will make this a killer image. Well worth the effort.

Rick, some good advice already. Very good job in what looks like difficult light conditions. Awesome perch. Vertical conveys the 'perched on the edge' feeling well.....but I think this will work good as horizontal as well. That other rock in the corner is catching the attention which will go with horizontal crop.

Pretty much impeccable COMP and SH. Consider eliminating the single grass blade near the tail. It looks as if--in an effort to counteract the rather harsh sidelight that you grayed out the whites....

Fantastic composition--lichen on the rocks --so complimentary. Agree with all the others that the whites need work.
Could be an amazing image.

Thank you all for your comments. As suggested by Randy I used the eye dropper in curves to reset the whites. I also removed the blade of grass as suggested by Arthur. And yes appears I did over compensate for the harsh side lighting.

A big improvement and I still love the BKGR. Good job on that blade of grass.

I cant get enough of these lovely birds. Hopefully one day I'll get a change to photograph them. The repost rocks and I can only agree with all above compliments. Well done Rick.
