Hi Kostas, nice details and composition! The light seems a bit harsh. You may want to brighten that dark part of the BG a bit to make it less busy, but I do like the colors!

Hey Kostas,
Agree with Jerry above on the light......but I see you are learning to control that much better now.....so growth is always a good thing.

Very nice job on the post processing bg for the repost.

It makes the photo pop much better.

I also like how the bb is nice and square to the camera.

Kostas there has been a great improvement in your work since I've last visited the site! Lovely image and I prefer the beautiful blues/purples/pinks in the bg of the original. You did a great job with the removal of the bottom leaf in the second post. Maybe you can selectively lighten the dark part (on the right hand side in the original) and retain the beautiful bg colours.:)

thank u so much Dave n and Vida ... i work every day with images , i get like 100-120 images per day , from those i keep only 5-10 images , and then i choose 2-3 of those , and there is one other thing now i get my macro images with my canon
and the new lens EF USM IS 100mm MACRO , this time u talk i did use an olympus e420 with 35mm macro lens . i believe that has to do something as well :)

Beautiful details on this butterfly. I like the BG colors. The flower might be toned down just a tad so as not to distract from the butterfly. Very nice!!

Kostas, that repost is a HUGE improvement over the original don't you agree? Lovely pp work!

I read where you said you take 100-120 images a day. Challenge yourself to stop photographing everything you see and really start to "look" for the 20-30 most important images. Learning to be selective with your choice of what to photograph is a huge part of improving as a photographer.

I also used to shoot 200-300 images at a time when I went out but have now got that cut down by maybe 25% and the keep rate is about the same. Saves wear and tear on the camera!

Hi Julie , i like the repost as well , it tooks me a lot of time , i am from the guys that dont lern easy and fast , but with the many repetition and the hard work , i guess u are right about the images . :)
