Struggled a bit with sharpening as it did not take much to get the neck and head feathers looking strange.

Nice exposure and good detail. I would have liked a faster shutter speed to eliminate the motion blur in the baitfish. :)

Cool feather/hair style Scott. I like his catch. When you say you struggled with the sharpening that made the neck and head look strange - did it look oversharpened. If so, just back off with the amount. From there you can also selectively sharpen where you want. I would have maybe left a little more room at the bottom for the 'virtual' legs.

I agree with Stuart about needing a little more room on the bottom. I might give some selective sharpening to the face and eye. Nice work.

As above, but my #1 suggestion would have been for you to sit rather than stand so as to get down to the bird's eye level.... Wicked fish.

Scott, I think some room at the bottom would have been nice. Artie makes a good point regarding the shooting angle. I like the fish and it's eye is fantastic. I might sharpen the head and eye as suggested above if it were mine. Nicely done.
