500mm F4 IS bean bag from pop up roof.
F5.6, ISO 400, 1/2000, EV-0.33
BTW It got way, I have another image of it reaching safety

Amazing timing and a moment that is so difficult to see I am sure. We did witness the crossing on two occasions but never did see this. Incredible Ken !!!!!

A crossing of the Mara is an incredible thing to see, but capturing a great or even good image can prove difficult if there is lots going on, I was just lucky with this, others were undoubtedly capturing equally dramatic pictures in different places. The peculiar thing is that in nine days we only saw one Zebra taken, a long way away.
Everybody should go at least once, but be prepared for crowds:D
