Hope youre not getting sick of Spitsbergen images, because I still have loads to show you. Due to heavy wind on Spitsbergen most of the time, mornings with no wind like this one are rare. We were lucky that the sun decided to show itself just a littlebit as well.

I took out several OOF spots on the water and leveled the photo.

C & C always welcome,

I like the colours and detail, and what lovely smooth water. Does this need a slight CCW rotation?

I definitely don't get tired of these images. :) Very cool find and capture, the soft light, angle and calm water makes this one for me. I might remove the specular highlights on the bill in the reflection.

Great exposure control and definition. I think it does need a bit of rotation too. Very good head angle and eye contact. TFS, Krijn :)

Will never get sick of seeing Spitzbergen images :) Love the colours and the pose and eye contact are just right. I'd leave the specular highlights - helps to bring the image to life IMHO :)

Perfect reflection, head angle, and sweet, sweet light. You might consider losing the little black speck on the waterline just forward of center.

Hi Krijn

What a beautiful bird and unfortunately one we only get to see very rarely in its winter colours. Exposure and detail are very good and taken in great light. Apart from a touch or rotation a lovely image as presented.

Cheers

Rich

Love the angle and reflection, seems contrasty on my monitor too.

Lovely reflection shot buddy. You might want to recalibrate your monitor as all your recent photographs seem very contrasty :2eyes2:
