The resident water birds at Candaba wetlands (Philippines) have started courtship activities, with this Black-crowned Night-Heron (Nycticorax nycticorax) gathering nesting materials the other day. Seems they're starting the breeding season earlier than usual this year.

1DM2 + 500 f4 L IS + Canon 1.4x TC, f/7.1, 1/1600 sec, ISO 400, manual exposure, 475B/3421 support.
