Tried to make the best of the increasingly harsh late morning light as this Buffalo began feeding in this lush salad bowl with an Egret & Jacana on the fringes of the Chobe river floodplain.
D3 500VR 1/1000s ISO200@f/5.6 -0.5EV. Monopod from boat.

C & C most welcome

Cheers
Marc

Hi Mark Like the pose and interaction, did well with the harsh light Just having trouble with the oof birds, since they are prominent would like seeing them sharp but not sure would be possible !!!

Hi Marc,

I agree with Alfs feedback. If you took any images a few moments after this image then that might correct the OOF birds. The Egret would have landed and the Jacana might even have exited the frame.

The head and flies around the head are excellent and well handled in the harsh light.

Cheers

Marc,

You were definitely pushing it here, have you tried decreasing the contrast?

Appreciate the comments guys.

Marc,

Yes Ken, found that anything less and it starts to look really flat.

Hi Marc, great low perspective, and I like how the buffalo is giving the Jacana the eye. The flies really add to the image.
