Discovered this Green Sea turtle, mother to be, covering up her eggs returning to the sea. She was so tired that she stopped several times to rest. A Brevard County Beach. Canon 1D Marl IV, Canon 24-105 F4l is,@65mm F4 1/3200 sec, Iso 800

Great light and I like the tracks leading the viewer to the subject.

Awesome capture Layton ... wish that animal would have taken a little more of a turn for you to go horizontal !! ... as presented might take a little of the bottom? Big Congrats on this one !!!

This is something that I think you woud rarely see, well captured. I agree with Al that the landscape option may have resulted in a better outcome. As it is I would take a little from the bottom.
Have you tried adding some canvas to the RHS?, you have a relatively simple BG so this could work quite well.

Great light Layton and a great subject. Agree on the landscape comments and to remove some from the bottom.

I agree with Alfred. A slight head turn or moving a bit to the right would have been even better. I like the early morning light. Thanks for sharing.

I really like the vertical composition.
IMO zooming out or backing up with the turtle lower in the frame would put this over the top.
Quick PS creation for comparison only - in other words my PS in this image stinks.
