I made this image at Buffalo Bay near Knysna in South Africa. Gulls where flying everywhere in overcast conditions so I decided to experiment a bit. 40D, 300 f2.8 L IS, Tv, 1/25, f32, ISO 125.

Wow...striking sky color too. Important part sharp and very nice wing blur.

Very nice, Stephen, shapr where it needs to be. It seems a bit underexposed, though.

Hi Stephen Agree in that its under exposed These images are addictive Might suggest getting a .9 neutral density filter Will allow slot shutter speed with not so severe f stops

It is easier to screw in the filter than to dust spot after the image !!!! I like it a lot !!!!

I took a look at the JPG in levels and the tonal range is there, black to a few blown in the red channel whites. Perhaps what is bening mentioned on uder exposure is the overall darkness of the image. If you slide the mid-tone levels slider to lighten it, it looks better.

Nice work getting the blur/sharpness in play in this image.

Stephen,

Looks just like what I did in PSCS. Nice work.
