A long wait has paid off and this well disguised crab spider has captured a fly on a daisy flower. 40D, 100 mm f/2.8 macro, 1/250, f/16, ISO 100, macro twin flash (diffused), hand held. I would wish for just a bit more room at the bottom. All comments are welcome and appreciated.

Hey Steve,
Another killer shot (yeah...bad pun).....agree with self assesment on more room bottom.....relatively easy fix with expanded canvas.....you know I don't want much........tack where it needs it and the whites are really well handled. I almost feel bad for the prey....but it is a fly;)!

Another fabulous Crab Spider in action shot! I agree with your assessment of needing more space on the bottom. I'm undecided about the glob of orange below the spider's abdomen. Should it stay or should it go?

You're getting a lot of use out of that Crab Spider! None have shown up here yet and I really miss them. :(

You did your own critique on this one. It IS a killer image as Roman stated. Lovely whites and I can't get over how fine the pollen on the fly looks. Outstanding! Well worth the time of waiting to get the image!

I finally found one of these spiders several weeks ago and didn't realize just how small they were. I agree more room at the bottom would certainly help.
