Hey Ken,
So that's how I can get them to sit still for a few:p! The light....perch....BG....all excellent. My love of the crop tool will say to take a bit off the bottom and right.....more diagonal comp....but this is very well done all around!

Nice job getting both skippers in focus, Ken. I also like the diagonal comp and the clean background. Well done.

Nice lighting and comp Ken. I'm wondering if there isn't a bit of chromatic abberation (purple/green) on some of the edges?

There are some purple flowers off in the distance behind and to the right of the top bfly. Maybe that's what you're seeing.

What a well balanced image, Ken. I'd also trim a tiny bit from the LRC or else clone out that ruffled edge that leaves that corner a bit darker.

Lovely set up and details.

Nice shot Ken but i get the impression there is not too much detail? I suspect the 1/60 sec was just a little too slow. What do you think?

Hey Jon, I'm not exactly sure what you mean. 1/60 is a bit slow to get it really sharp @ 320mm but other than the flower area along the bottom (which I may crop off per Roman/Jules), I think it came out pretty good. What areas do you think are lacking detail?

Ken, beautiful image and great details on the butterflies. I would definitely crop from the LRC!

Ken the skippers in general are not showing full detail, for example look at the periphery of the wings and the fur on the head, it appears to be fused as opposed to distinct. Hopefully I can illustrate this with one of my next posts -I took the shots using a monopod and you will see which parts are really in focus and which are nearly in focus.:)
