Hi

Chased this little guy for a long time through the gardens at Lookout Inn, Carate, Osa Peninsula
hard to capture as it lives in low bush growth.

Species is endemic to Costa Rica and Panama so is quite sought after ;)

Very interesting species. Like the expression the focus point looks it might be on the back a little from the eye. the leaves in the front are overpowering

Hi Richard - tough one no doubt due to the habitat. Head/Eye area looks a little soft - some additional sharpening might help.
The pink foreground leaves are quite distracting - not much you could do about it though.
Like the open beak pose!

Hi

Note image reduced to 82 K on upload I does look softer on the head here, but not here on my full file, I will look at adding a little more.

Foliage - can only try to get as little as possible. I toyed with the idea of cropping to head shot; wud be able to get rid of the pink leaves then

Hi Richard, Good comments above regarding softness and overpowering elements in the back and foreground.
The problem with cropping the image so radically is you probably would lose alot of image quality.
