Although scrub jays are seen quite frequently around Merritt Island and other places in Florida I have not ever had the opportunity to capture one until a couple of weeks ago. They are really a very beautiful bird and I must add very friendly. !!!!

We have Grey Jays and blue Jays up here Judy. I have never seen one down there. I like the triangled perch, sort of leads you up and then out of the frame. Nice textures and varied hues of colors in the underbelly. The slight shadows are nice. I find the eye a bit dark, but maybe thats just me. A good composition here.

Nice boid, Judy Lynn! I have yet t see one of these cool looking fellers. I hope you don't mind, I made a Quick Mask inside your boid, used the resulting selection as a mask for a Contrast/Brightness Layer. I then brightened your Jay up some.

Thanks Jody for taking the time to repost this image.. I always appreciate hearing and seeing other points of view. You did a fiine job in rocssing but my only nit would be that in reallity the scrub jays are not quite that light in color so it does not come off in my eyes as a true representation of the coloring of the scrub jay.
