Hi

Another kind of squirrel from another continent; eating Acacia type seed pod - could here the munching from a fair way off.
Apparently there are some 14 known color variants in Costa Rica!

FL 260, 1/100, f5.6, ISO 200, 0 Ev , AWB

Hi Richard First thing that strikes me here is the compensation !!! Pointing the camera up wold have guessed at least one over ... probably more !! When checking the histogram don't worry about the blinkies in the bg, just worry about the main subject. Neat looking squirrel !!

The pose is nice. A vertical would have been great here.

I agree with Alfred regarding the exposure compensation. Pulling up the exposure during post processing increases the noise. It is better to have a higher shutter speed, so that the subject motion can be arrested. I would not hesitate to increase the ISO to atleast 400 in the 40D. There would be higher noise, however, the details resolved would be better. Thanks for sharing. Look forward to more.
