This little Birdy is only around 10 cm, I was after this cute little birdy for some time now, they are always in thick bushes or on the ground making it difficult to shoot.

Excellent habitat, pose, sharpness on the bird and HT. Would love to see this with a bit more space around the bird (if you have it) as now it feels a tiny bit tight. Congrats on a great shot!

Thanks Krijn, for you kind words of appreciation and suggestions. i have more space around, but too much habitat was spoiling it.. so went for a tight crop keeping more focus on the bird, but I do appreciate you point..

Kiran:

Nice presentation, strong lines, nice to see habitat without obscuring the bird in anyway. Sharp, well exposed.
I might play with toning down the reflections off the perch, and maybe a mild vignette.

Well done.

Cheers

Beautiful light, exposure, detail, habitat. I like it just as presented (although Randy's point about the reflections is worth considering). Lovely image for a difficult bird.

Stunning capture in my book. Tonality looks fine from here. In a perfect world the head would be perfectly square to the back of the camera (recommended for an over-the-shoulder side view :)). You might opt to remove the seed husk (or whatever it is) just above the lores.

Very nice setting, angle, light and eye contact. I would only tone down the highlights underneath the beak and maybe a tad less saturation.

Kiran, this one is hard to capture. Really terrific job. Loved the look-back pose and the light. The habitat adds a lot IMO. Well done as usual.

Excellent in every respect....I saw these recently on a trip to Portugal. They were everywhere...could I get a close shot?...no , i wished I had managed one like this.

The lighting and sharpness are perfect. I agree with the more room needed comments. Oddly enough my eye keeps going to the spot right above the "ha" in your name on the blade of grass. Not sure what that is, water?

Those are not easy to catch. Wonderful light and great BG. I like the vegetation around the bird as it shows it's habitat.
