West Quoddy Head Lighthouse

The lighthouse is way up the Main coast at Lubec Had on afternoon to photograph and was heavy overcast .. as most of the days .. still one impressive view !!

Hi Mike thought about going down but decided against it with the light we had !!! A few minutes before you couldn't even see the lighthouse :) Neat place !!! .. would love to see it in winter !!!

Nice to see up close Al. I have only seen this from the Canadian side- Campobello Island. If you are ever up this way again, let me know!

I liked the view from the lighthouse when I was there last year. There were also quite a few warblers in the area.

Did you travel to the bog at West Quoddy Head. the bog plants are very nice

John I knew you were busy doing something or other that is why I didn't call !!!

... didn't know about the plants Myer ! Roman that is one foggy place, when we came in the lighthouse was not visible then it just appeared !! I was told the roads are plowed and you can get to the parking lot in winter, must be a sight !!!

We actually had a blast Axel ... light was bad all week but we did manage to grab a few good ones .. ready to go back again :cool:

It pays to visit often....so I've been very lucky Axel! Mostly excellent weather on W. Quoddy.....I even pulled off a night one in my gallery! I'd imagine this can get scary cold Alfred in the winter......doesn't mean this NJ boy isn't going!!! ...just warning the floridians......so bring the winter Yellowstone gear!!!

the fog shots are great if you shoot from the beach (so long as you can see the lighthouse). I had great weather when I was there, i fall, how ironic.
