Same setup as my previous post. The newly emerged dragonfly's wings have reached full size and it is ready to test them out for the first time. The bright colors are still developing. 40D, 180 mm f/3.5 macro, 2.5 sec, f/16, ISO 200, tripod, mirror lock, cable release, natural light. All comments are welcome and appreciated.

Man oh man, Steve! I am in love with this image (and I thought the last one was pretty fabulous!) The lighting, exposure, DOF and story are all present here - now that's how you know you've got a great image. Only thing I see that is distracting AT ALL are one or two small white spots on the back wings...might try a delicate clone job there if those are spectral highlights. If they are part of the pattern of the wings then definitely leave them alone.

Another beauty, Steve! My comments on this are pretty much the same as the previous shot of the same subject. It looks fantastic but I feel that lightening up the head would take it up another notch.
