Good Catch

On the beach for a while this AM. Many young birds in all stages. Was shooting Skimmers in the surf when I spotted this Gull "crabing". Interesting to watch them pluck the crabs from the water when they come to the surface.

Joe, your comp suits the gull's posture very well, and I like the trailing droplets from the feet. I also like the layered BG, and good to see his catch.

Nice image, I love the streaked water BG. I'm not sure if that is a dust bunny attached to the gull's throat, but it would be well worth it to eliminate it.

The drops and eye contact adds lots of interest.
