D700 + 600VR on beanbag, shot from a car. Forgot to turn on the VR :o

Nice pose and good sharpness, Troy. Whites on the neck aren't clipping but seem to lack detail - a linear burn may be worth a try. Perch and barbed wire aren't the most picturesque. Wondering about a portrait crop.

A little too much HOM and a vertical crop would take of that fence away -- I would also darken the background a bit -- nice capture

I like the alert pose and eye contact, it looks as if he just had a meal. I like Scott's idea to make it a vertical crop.

I will give it a shot. But I feel that vertical crop would be too much crop for my taste, so I decided to include the line. Hope portrait crop will retain enough details.

Interesting looking bird, and one that I havent seen before. Super pose, and feel that a vertical would work well here.
