Nice wing spread, and I like the foot drag along the water. Good low-ish angle too. I'm not crazy about the water line crossing the head, and the image could use some CW rotation. Looks like some post processing artefatcs at left that need refining.

I agree with Dan's excellent comments above, especially with regards to the poor handling of the water on our left.... Were you adding canvas or covering something distracting? I love the raised wing pose and the splashing feet. One last problem: the reds are oversaturated; this have caused the loss of all detail in the eye.

Knocking back the saturation and recovering the reds will be good, Jan. Bringing up the black point also adds to the image IMO. Nice and sharp and good plumage detail.

Adding 60-90 points of CYAN to the REDs in Selective Color can be even more effective than desaturating the REDs. See the REDucation threads in the ER.

wing span looks very good, so is the landing / running pose.
Cloning work on the left don't look good.
Agree with Daniel and Arthur comments.
