Susan:

Great catch for both of you! Nice wing position, flying water, flapping fish. Good eye contact.
A few of the whites look overexposed a bit.
How big of crop does this represent? What lens?

Thanks

Randy

Hi Susan,
Great head-on capture and that is some fish!! I like that you have left the space on the right for the bird to look in to and the water drops take this over the top for me. Very nice :)
Best,
Nicki

nice pose and splash, a bot oversharpened on my screen and a few hot spots. eye contact really stands out, TFS

Cool moment captured, I like the wing position, droplets, eye contact and the big fish. I would tone down the highlights more.

Thanks for your comments Randy & Nicki! I forgot to list the lens I used in the specs. I used a 600mm f/4.0 and overall I cropped about 20% from the LHS & bottom. I just took a look at the raw file and the whites are not overexposed and I do have details in the shadows. So I must of messed up in pp. I do see some whites o/e in the posted image. Thanks for pointing that out I appreciate it.

Excellent pose and great timing. Sometimes from the jpeg conversion the whites get hot when they are not in the tiff. Nice to see you posting. Love the tail on the fish!

Great timing, moment and eye contact. IMG is well exposed with great exposure and colours. Like the water spray. Well done !

Outstanding timing in this one Susan. Awesome action and the flapping fish and water droplets all put it over the top for me. Excellent !

Thanks so much for your input. I still remember the adrenaline flowing when I took this image. The Osprey with the fish flew right over my head and dripped me with water.

Great pose by the osprey and the splashes plus big fish really make this a striking hunting image! It does look a tad oversharpened though..
