40D. 400f5.6L at f/6.3. iso 320. 1/2000s. cropped a bit from all sides for composition.

I shot this one just before the one I posted yesterday. I wish the shadows were not so close to the head....but I was already standing so couldn't avoid that. Could have moved to the left but the head angle would have been different. Color not too far away from reality.

All C&C welcome and appreciated.

I really like the strong horizontal line and the feet on this one!
As far as head angle, it becomes less critical in silhouette shots and I agree that a bit more to the left would have given a better background for the head. The plume does show very well.

I like the idea and that we can see the toes well. :) I agree that moving a bit to your left would have helped with the bill/BG merge.

Great tones and shapes Kaustubh. There are a few lighter areas below the bird's feet that I might consider burning in.

Tip: you can always get several inches higher by pulling the tripod legs in. In this case, it would have helped.
