Not sure whether this is a Lesser or Greater Yellowlegs. Found its behavior quite interesting - every time it caught a fish it walked to the shore and needed several attempts to actually swallow its snack.
1/500s, f5.6, 400mm, ISO560, shot at 5:30PM

HI Dieter I like the brisk motion, light and eye contact Would have cropped a little different at the bottom Maybe just above the bend in the reflection?
Since he was repeating the action sure hope you got different color bgs I like it a lot !!!

I Iike the timing and the brisk motion,I would prefer a lower angle

Good head and neck and body angles. The whites and greys look bluish. The bird, with its two-toned bill and robust demeanor is certainly a greater. (Check out my "Shorebirds; Beautiful Beachcombers...) Amazing that the foot is so blurred at 1/500 sec.

Nice pose and interesting behavior. I also see the blue cast in the whites and light parts of the bird.
