Here's a guy I took the other week. Tell me what you think. Does it work with him facing away?

Not sure what happened but I can't see it either. Might recheck your link!

The photo doesn't show but when I checked the page source and copied the link, it works fine.

Bruce, be sure and give us the camera settings and editing software used so we can give better critiques. There's a surprising amount of DOF here at 5.6 (I checked the exif) but I think you could have got much more at a smaller aperture.

I don't mind this view at all but I know others here will. IMO, this view really shows off the detail in the wings which is something I want to see, especially with this species. The BG looks great but there is too much of it. You need to crop a fair amount from the top and the right.

BTW, it's a 12 Spotted Skimmer. :)

Thanks for the replies. I hope everyone can see the photo now.

For some reason I don't see the exif info on my web gallery? So sorry for not providing that. I will get it tonight at home off the actual file. I did use Photoshop 7 to edit this. Cropped some for comp.

I've got Skipper's on my mind! I would fix the title, but it won't let me. I did have the name right on my website (does that count?). These are one of my favorite DF. I really love the wing design on them. That's why I need oppinions on if this works at all since he is facing away.

I am new to Dragonfly photography this year. Really liking it so far! Can't wait to get back out tomorrow night.

Thanks again for looking!
Bruce

I have a plugin for my Firefox browser that lets me right-click on a photo to get the exif data. There's probably something similar available for most browsers.

I opened this page in IE and the picture isn't showing so smugmug may not be compatible with BPN. Once you open the following link, the picture should show up on this page.
