1. Portrait-Chinese Goose by Indranil Sircar. http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php?68242-Portrait-Chinese-Goose&referrerid=1859
Lovely intimate portrait with a beautiful colour scheme and delicate pose. Wonderfully PP'd Indranil. Good work!
2. Road Map of Life by Billy White. http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php?67990-Road-Map-of-Life&referrerid=1859
Lucis really brought this one to life:) of a weathered, tired man, who looks like he was not born with the proverbial silver spoon. Well done!
3. Portrait of A Young Man by Mirenchu Fernandez. http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php?67747-Portrait-of-a-young-man&referrerid=1859
I like the image as I thought the hard edges of the sculpture matched the muscular man. The black and white simplified things and brought the focus on the light and the man. Well done Mirenchu!
4. General Grant by Christopher Miller. http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php?67918-General-Grant&referrerid=1859
Our resident pin-hole antique style photographer pulls off this great image of a war weary Grant. Christopher has perfected this technique. Liked it!
5. Allison by Mark Fuge. http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php?67882-Allison&referrerid=1859
Our resident different drummer (in a good way) shows a very different PP style, which I really liked. Had I been able to pick out all the elements a little more clearly I would have picked it as the winner. Congrats Mark!
Honourable mention to Cailley Turning by Micheal Gerald-Yamasaki. http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php?68121-Cailley-Turning&referrerid=1859
Another intimate portait, and the eyes and shy smile made it special. Hope this one makes it to print. And thanks for sharing your PP technique, we all learn from it.
My subjective opinions, and so ends another great week of creativity and hard decision- making. Thanks for all the contributions everyone. Christopher will be back in the judge's chair next week!
