Arash, very nice shot! Excellent wing position, great flight angle and good BG. The light looks great as well. If anything, I would say this is not a Pinail but a Gadwall male.....:o

Arash:'

Nice wing position, angle in frame. It is the strong side lighting that makes it for me. Reveals lots of detail in the feathers, textures. I spent quite a while enjoying the patterns.

Cheers

Arash, good flying posture, and well placed in the frame. I like the overall detail and colours, and what a superb BG. Well captured.

Arash, light is awesome here. and perfect freeze with that high SS. good call on ISO. wing position and head angle perfect.

I think its a Gadwall hen...because of the orange-edged beak. Drake is grey and has much more intricate pattern on the breast.

Awsome light and details. I might wish for just a bit more room in front. Just a very minor point made on a fine image.

A third vote for Gadwall but I cast my vote with Krijn in favor of a drake (in molt so looking a bit less classy than they can).

Thanks guys for the correct ID, I am always confused IDing female shoveler, gadwall and pintails!
I think only gadwalls have the white patch on the wing?
Thanks :)

This is all about the colors! Nice ear tonalities, matched by the nice BG, GOod to get the focus on the rid and not BG ;)
Very nice as presented, keep up the good work.

Roger that. The white speculum points to Gadwall, that is if you have a dabbler. If the white is on the leading edge of the wing think Wigeon.

Absolutely gorgeous light! The BG colors complement the bird perfectly. :)

Another vote for a Gadwall drake. Initially I had thought it was a hen but the black tail coverts give it away as a male. Usually the male does not have the orange sided bill but occasionally it does, as in this case!
The image is great though! The BG works great with this bird, and the setting sun only makes it better!

Arash, another great shot. Sun angle could have been better but I would be happy with this kind of shot.
Sharp sharp sharp.

one gorgeous shot Arash - love the sidelight as mentioned, great sharp details and IQ at ISO1600, Mk4 performs well!
