Took this image at Giants Castle. Just love the way she is showing affection whilst he does not seem to be interested at all.

They must be together for a while :)
Very nice interaction and details, bait tight in the frame. I wasn't aware they had red in the wings, well, they most be another species, not the European Starling.
Thanks for participating in the project :)

Hi Gerrie, looking at the thumbnail, I thought this was in your back yard. Lovely affection captured, and I like the colours in the BG. Glad to see there are other species other than vultures.;)

Nice interaction, and as you say the male really doesn't look interested at all...in fact, he looks quite bothered by her!! I love the red on the wing, which leads me to ask: what species of starling is this?

I agree the scene is a bit tight in the frame, and I would clean up the small spot of whitewash on the perch. Awesome BG!

I like the interaction, light, iridescence and BG. Another vote for a wider crop and whitewash removal. Thanks for sharing!

I'm with Daniel...not just disinterested, but downright perturbed.

Thank you for viewing & commenting everyone. It is much appreciated. These are Red-winged Starlings and are common throughout South Africa.:)

Good interaction, Gerrie. Shows the sexual dimorphism well. He definitely looks like he's tolerating the attention rather than relishing it :)

Very engaging behavior, Gerrie. Love the rich detail in the dark feathers bathed in sunlight.

The crop doesn't bother me, but if you were to loosen it, opening slightly on the right side would be my suggestion.
